Home Project: Create a new logotype for a charitable organization that provides Therapeutic Riding services to improve the quality of life and supplement traditional therapy for its clients. The new graphic had to utilize the established shade of green from a previous logo (that had now become dated) and be versatile enough to be used on all media applications including print, web and textile.

The initial logo design was determined by reference materials provided to me by the client. This included a few printed examples of other logos in the style the PARD committee liked and a rough sketch of the 3 main components - Horse & rider, wheelchair and text. The rendering of these elements underwent a number of revisions as the design evolved from a format that embodied bold, solid shapes to the final, ‘sketchy’ style emphasizing key equestrian practices as an essential part of the healing process.
